Hello, If you want to attend, they request we register and tell them how many and who (by name) are coming.  It is fun and different from anything else, especially in the dead of WINTER!  Reply to me if you wish to go, so they can include you with a seat at the table.  Cook something, bring it, make your way there, come inside, and feel the heat!  I will register as the QCC Group, and you can be our guests.  Reply back soon.  Dalehttps://zakiras.com/get-in-touch/

Queen City Cooper Events / Thursday December 11 Cincinnati’s Nights of Lights
« Last post by Dale Ballinger about November 14, 2025, 03:17:44 PM »

Date: Thursday December 11  Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville, OH 45160

Hello QCC, Would you want to go to the Nights of lights? 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025.  $30 per car. Would you be able to meet at 5:00 PM at Grammas in Batavia for dinner? Just wondering.  It's better to be closer than drive straight to it. Really crazy traffic around Cincy, and the tasty Greek (and pizza, etc) restaurant is under 5 miles from the Clermont County Fairgrounds and a half block from the correct road, Route 132 North.  We could leave at 6:15 and be on time.  154 E Main Street  Batavia, OH 45103  513-732-6644

Cincinnati’s Nights of Lights is a dazzling drive thru holiday light show illuminated by more than 2 million lights! It has become a beloved Cincinnati holiday tradition as many visitors of all ages and abilities are awed by larger-than-life Christmas trees, glowing snowflakes, dancing candy canes, fantastic tunnels of lights, and so much more!  Our team works hard to make sure this beloved tradition and all 2 million lights are lit from day one through the end.  Don’t miss this unforgettable holiday adventure!

Location Cincinnati’s Nights of Lights is now held at the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville, Ohio. It is about 20 minutes east of I-275 off Route 50.  GPS says 1000 Locust St. Owensville, OH 45160, but don't go directly to there!  Please follow directional signage to guide you to the OH-132 entrance. Guests will enter Cincinnati’s Nights of Lights from State Route 132 North.  Nights of Lights personnel will direct cars once they enter the gate until they reach the admission booths at the beginning of the event.  Tune your car radio to 88.5 FM.

We are supposed to arrive no later than 6:30. Ryan, the director of the event, will be at the front gate to direct the cars where to go. They will have an area set aside for us all to park while we are waiting for everyone to arrive and to get lined up when we're ready to drive thru. The club can pay for everyone in our group at the gate. It will be $30 per car unless we can get 25 or more cars, and then it will be $25 per car. We may invite the Cincy Miata Club and the Ohio Valley Austin-Healey Club, too.

Queen City Cooper Events / Christmas Party will be Saturday, December 6 2025
« Last post by Dale Ballinger about October 27, 2025, 12:52:32 PM »

The Christmas Party will be Saturday, December 6 2025 at Cincinnati MINI and we shall have the gift exchange, by popular request this year. Bring a wrapped gift of about $20 to put under the "tree" and we will draw cards for the order of picking, as long as you are in for it.  There will be an e-board and monthly Motor-In meeting as well.

It will take place at Cincinnati MINI from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.  The address is 6131 Stewart Road #2, Cincinnati, OH 45227. Park on the upper levels and we will be on the second floor of the lobby.  The main dish, plates etc, will be provided by QCC. Bring your own drinks to make it easier on everyone. So owners of white roofed MINIs are asked to bring a side dish, black roofed MINIs are asked to bring a dessert, and convertibles and other colored roofs can pick either one or bring an appetizer.

Please sign up on the QCC web site so we know how much "main dish" to order.

Thanks, President Dale

Queen City Cooper Events / Drive November 8 - M&M
« Last post by Dale Ballinger about October 01, 2025, 05:29:17 PM »

The Greater Cincinnati Miata Club invites the Queen City Coopers to join our drive to Serpent Mound and lunch and an afternoon return along the Ohio River.   Details are below. (please register on the QCC web site)

Bobbi Ross, President
Greater Cincinnati Miata Club
Also Tim’s navigator!

We have had some beautiful top-down weather, so Tim and I drove.  We’ve put together a route that was originally intended to have us in Maysville, KY for lunch, returning on KY 8.  Some of the roads were pronounced as straight and boring, but the navigator enjoyed the scenery!

In any case, here are the details:

Meet 9:00 at Walmart on Chamber Drive in Milford.   201 Chamber Dr, Milford, OH 45150

Connect to US 50 east to Hillsboro, where we pick up OH 73 south/east to Serpent Mound – a drive of a little less than 90 minutes with no stops.  We have allocated 90 minutes exploring – $8 parking fee per car (paid in the gift shop), decent bathrooms, small museum, walkable path but the observation tower is being rebuilt and won’t be open until January or February ☹.  After visiting Serpent Mound, we will continue on OH 73 to OH 41 south, crossing OH 32 to Duncansville, where we will turn onto Wheat Ridge Road to Miller’s for lunch, again allowing 90 minutes.  After lunch, we will return to OH 41, taking it south through West Union to Aberdeen, where we will turn west toward home on US 52.  The whole route is about 160 miles.  We have designed a few “bail outs” at OH 32 and after Miller’s.

Notes:  Walmart in Milford has bathrooms.  Since the first leg is just about 90 minutes, there is no planned potty/gas stop.  There are restrooms at Serpent Mound and Miller’s, but no gas – SO – come with a full tank, empty bladder, and your FRS radio tuned to channel 7.1.

Sadly, Tim and I have a commitment that weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, supporting our daughter who is chief technical inspector for the Ohio Valley Region of the SCCA event.  We'll miss you and will look forward to seeing the review of the meeting later.
